New video profiling Cambridge Connect

New video profiling Cambridge Connect

16 August 2024 by colin

Cambridge Connect is proud to announce our new video profiling our Cambridge Light Rail scheme. The video was made possible through a very generous donation from local resident Hilary Jackson, which enabled us to commission the professional services of Rob Birnie, a specialist in video production and Director of his company Made by DBM (DBM Motion Graphics). Hilary and Rob have been fantastic to work with on this initiative, which was a team effort involving all members of the Cambridge Connect Advisory Board, including Peter Cushing, Andrew Duff, John Howland Jackson, Tom Holbrook (5th Studio), David Moore (CMS), Antoinette Nestor (Cllr, Castle Ward) and Lindsay Murphy (TXM Consult). UK Tram kindly offered key support and light rail resources for the video, including helpful contacts in the industry such as Metrolink and Midlands Metro. We also received great input from Railfuture East Anglia and a number of local residents.

Speaking about her support for Cambridge Light Rail, Hilary Jackson said: “The more you read and try to understand the complex and interrelated issues that might help the future development and even more global success of Greater Cambridge, the more you realise that light rail IS the answer.”

We hope you enjoy the video and spread the message!
